"I like their records quite a bit and had heard great things about the
shows but it just weren't happening that night. i don't think they're
particularly like Can though, can was much more coming from some Velvets- meets-James Brown rhythm-groove-attack thing, which vibe i don't get from Black Dice so much. but someone i know just negatively compared Animal Collective to amon Duul so maybe i'm just missing the obvious Krautrock link!"
